Fireworks Festival

This picture was taken on the way to the Shizuoka City Fireworks Festival. It took over an hour to walk there because there were SO many people. Over 400,000 people attended, which is more than half the population of the city. When I got there all seats were taken, but a member of the Lion's Club let me in to there private grounds as an international guest. Lucky me. The fireworks were pretty amazing. Students told me that they lit more than 50,000 works, and I thought they were lying until I saw it. It still might be an exaggeration, but I've never seen a show so big.
